Taubergießen Nature Reserve
Next to the hustle and bustle of Europa-Park, you'll find the beautiful Taubergießen nature reserve very close to your accommodation. For example, you can reach the Doppelwehr (double weir) with its beautiful landscape (see photo above) in just over two and a half kilometers.
We'd be happy to help you plan a wonderful cycling route. For example, you can discover the weir on the Rhine tributary, explore the Blue Hole, and the Herrenkopf Bridge. You can also take the ferry directly across the Rhine towards France with your bikes.
By bike or car, you can take the currently free ferry across the Rhine to Rhinau in France. Just across the border, you'll find a supermarket. For cycling enthusiasts, the beautiful Rhine Cycle Path is a great option.
Visit Germany's largest theme park with countless awards. From adrenaline to relaxation, Europa-Park has it all. The new Croatian themed area, featuring the catapult roller coaster Voltron, opened in 2024. But the park also offers countless attractions for younger guests. Let yourself be enchanted by the countless shows!
The best part: Our accommodation is also not far from the main entrance. You can therefore easily reach Rulantica on foot.
Rulantica is a year-round water park in Rust, not far from Europa-Park. Whether for adrenaline junkies, toddlers, or those seeking relaxation: visitors experience over 50 slides and attractions, two pool bars, three saunas, and a steam bath in 14 lovingly designed themed areas. Among other things, Europe's largest speed slide and an interactive water carousel await all water lovers. Numerous seasonal events, shows, dining options, and lounge areas round out the experience. With its extensive indoor and outdoor areas, the water park, which opened in 2019, is one of the largest of its kind. Further information can be found on the Rulantica website.

In the surrounding area, you'll find many small and large towns that invite you to a shopping spree. For example, the city of Freiburg, with its countless shops, is a great place to go. The Freiburg Minster is also worth a visit. Tip: You can easily reach Freiburg by train from the nearby Ringsheim/Europa-Park stop.
But even the smaller towns like Lahr and Emmendingen have their own unique charm. If possible, try to visit a weekly market in these towns. In autumn, for example, the very famous Chrysanthema market takes place in Lahr.
Explore picturesque Colmar! Be enchanted by the alleys and the many half-timbered houses! Colmar is always worth a city trip!
The city of Strasbourg is a bit bigger. There's plenty to discover here too!
